What are the best places to visit in Annecy in Haute-Avoie?

Annecy is known as one of France's famous cities. Apart from some places that are a bit tough to walk in, the city is pretty easy to navigate. Depending on what your preferences may be, there are many places to visit and a whole bunch of things to do out there. From the historical monuments and lakes to the lovely bridges through the city, let's discover three of the best places to visit in Annecy in Haute-Savoie.

The Lake Annecy

Lake Annecy is the first thing that should come on top of your to-do list when it comes to visiting Annecy. The amazing view of the lake’s waters reflecting the surrounding mountains will blow your mind. This is even the very first thing you will see while arriving in the city, so it might be a great start to begin your visiting journey there. You can also pursue or start your journey from the Pâquier, up to the Jardins de Europe. The latters are very nice to spend time-along with a great view of the lake, surrounded by huge trees. In the same streamline, you can also come across the Lover’s Bridge (or Pont des Amours), which is actually a good place to capture memories. Of course, there’s also the Imperial Palace gardens at the opposite of the Pâquier avenue.

Passing through the Pont des Amours, the Vassé Canal flows its waters into the lake. Thus, you have two main options to reach the bridge. One is to cross the Jardins de Europe located behind the Annecy Town's Hall on the left side of the lake and the other is to walk up the Esplanade du Pâquier situated on the right side of the lake. The Old Town of Annecy

In addition to the places that have just been mentioned, you can also visit the Old Town of Annecy, which should not be confused with Annecy le Vieux. Depending on how the weather looks, we particularly recommend you to discover the shaded streets of the region. Also, visiting the old city of Annecy is referred to as visiting all the historical monuments of the city. 
In fact, during your visit in the old town of Annecy, you may particularly notice the architectural uniqueness of the buildings.
